yeah, id like to know thw gvw , cfm , and recomended mount location. also is there any other ithat need to be purchased? i may be also looking at a external trans filter. but no offence there are a few other locations on the nex that have pretty much the same thing but much cheaper.
So its clear I the BD Transmission Cooler is a Derale Oil Cooler, we can supply the install kit which is recommended but sold separately. Some guys like to supply their own hoses and fittings depending on where they are locating it.
All the specs can be easily found at www.derale.com. I am not at the warehouse so can not physically measure one for you but can swing by after work and report back in the AM if you need.
I do not believe there is GVW rating on it? Just so I am clear, are you asking what the (Gross Vehicle Weight) of this transmission cooler can... hold is or can effectively cool at?
We do not specify a specific location for the cooler, we supply two brackets and refer to it as a universal install. At BD our service department installs them under the bed, between the frame rail, close to the transmission but have seen everything from up front to in the box.
I am not offended if you have to purchase else where, we are dedicated and obligated to our distributors to NOT sell less than 5% of our retail price. Our distributor risk their accounts if proven to have sold BD products for less than our (MAP) Minimum Advertised Price.

I hope that helps

IM LOOKING TO FIND OUT: what the capacity of the cooler is. and it is usually stated by Gross Vehicle Weight. cause im sure it wouldnt work for a peterbuilt and would be over kill for a 4cyl honda

I do not know and can not access their site from this computer, that is why I gave you the link. I can check from home and report back in the AM but that all I can do right now. I apologies I do not know off hand but in 8 years I have never been asked.
We advertise the kit for Ford and Dodge 2500 and 3500's, not Peterbuilt or Honda.
I was there a coulple weeks ago and it was... after our major virus attack last month my computer is on lock down, I surprised I cn still get on the forums. I have an e-mail into Derale and will try form home tonight.
wait wait wait. the link you posted isnt the one i thought it was. you have nothing to do with bd's site? you are listing derales site, so which is the one i should be looking at?
If ya can not poke fun at the vendors than who can ya... I deserve it after that goof up.
Yes the site I listed is Derale, it is who we by the actual core and fan units from. Apparently the best place to go for the information is our website though!

You are welcome, I did ask the web guy to revisit the page, it is possible he made some changes. Sorry about the run-around and lack of knowledge, I learned something here as well.
