hi guys, i can't seem to find the valve assembly on partsguyed.com...am i doing something wrong or is it just an unavailable part now?

the p/n my local dealer here in NE gave me is 6C3Z9189A and they say it costs $330...Vaseline is an additional $20

i found one on amazon.com for $162 ( Amazon.com: F1UZ9B263B RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY-FUEL SELECTOR OEM FORD: Automotive ) which i can tolerate, but if this Ed fella can do it for cheaper, the i say hell yes!

any help for a broke farmer?

F1UZ-9B263-B is the one you need for a 1986-1989 F-series gas truck & 1986-1990 E-series van.

yea, i know that much, i mean that i can't find the part on the Ed guy's website. they were saying in earlier posts that this site had the valve for something like 70 bucks or thereabouts. i just would like to know if i'm looking it up wrong on their catalog or if someone has heard if they no longer sell them...

ya wishful thinking i suppose, but $120 is a whole hell of alot better than the $330 that Ford thought they were gonna get out of me...that's just a stupid amount of money for that valve!

I am also having an issue with my dual tanks. I have a 96 F150 302 with dual tanks. I have replaced both fuel pumps, and also replaced the fuel filter. When I switch from rear tank to front, the truck runs for a bit, but I can't get down on it, and then it. Acts like it is starving for fuel. I switch it back to the rear tank and it works fine. Anyone know what it can be!!!! HELP.

I saw this thread and thought it might be the dual pump reservoir. But where is it located and what does it look like. Thanks. And my truck is an EFI model.

How much you want for the part? Can you read my post and let me know if that part is the problem? Thanks.

Everything changed on the fuel systems after 1992 so this would not be the correect one for a 1996.(85-1991) according to my info.

In 1996 you do not have the fuel tank selector valve on the frame

Sounds like you have a bad selector switch on the dash or a loose plug on the Selector switch.
