why dont u send it back and get the correct tank? i find bronco graveyard very easy to deal with when there is a mistake

 

I would ,,but i had it powdercoated... The tank i need is plastic .. I do not think they have it ..

Just a few words of encouragement.
I am restoring a 79 150 4wd with a 2wd box that had both tanks, so I too was looking for one of these tanks and bracket / skid pans.
I drove a 800 mile round trip to pick one up from a really good guy on this site. he just let me have it. It needed some restoring, but most of it was there.
They are really hard to find and most of them are rotted pretty bad.
Just keep getting the word out.

Thanks! I got a 2 wheel drive larit red white and red. Great shape!! No rust . 78 thousand miles one owener. Toper from dealer when new.. The inside of bed looks new! ...... I took a 79 4x4 striped it down.. Powered coaded frame and than went through front and back ends .. All new gears with detroit true track.. Going with 460 engine built going to try to keep everything stock inside truck.. Would like to find a set of nos. Red and white door panels .......... Thanks!! For all the help!!!! Ocala fl,

 

I read on your post that you had a 78 4x4 crewcab parts truck with a midship tank. If you still have this, I would be very interested in purchasing the mounting hardware for this tank. I have a 78 4x4 crewcab that did not come with midship tank. I purchased a plastic tank from MTS but have had no success in finding any hardware.



my 79 f150 4x4 supercab also has a midship tank that is steel and I am not sure what my 3 other parts trucks, a 78 f250/4x4 78 f250 4x4 crew cab and a 78 f350 2wd crew cab have as far as the mid ship tanks go,they all have them[/quote]

 

So i put a fuel cell in my truck, if anyone still needs the tank skid plate/guard thing on a side hung tank, you can have mine for the cost of shipping, or come get the darn thing...might take a couple weeks to get it off tho..i am moving tomorrow.

sorry about the delay...lost this thread. you want the skid plate/guard/whatever the hell you call it? i have to pull it off yet, but this weekend or next might see that happen.

 

yes .. that will be fine !! dont know if it matters, but its off a 79 F-250. looks the same as the picture above.

 

I THINK IT WILL WORK .... LONG BED 4X4 250 SHOULD BE THE SAME AS 150 4X4
