2006 F250 Chassis Lube?

According to my local Ford Service Manager, there is no chassis lube maintenance points for my 06 F250. I guess I'm not used to owning newer trucks, but no grease nipples at all on this beast? The SM said that basically I just replace parts when they wear out and follow the maintenance regime, but no grease gun needed.

Is that true folks? My last truck was a '94 Chev 6.5TD and I actually kept the grease gun in the truck box....

Thats the new fangled way of doin things... It is sold as the cost of ownership... 100000 miles between coolant service, 7500 mile oil changes, no grease nips... I dont buy it though, When my UJoints go out, they are getting NAPA with Grease nips...

The arguement is, if they are greasable, then they have a hollow cavity in them, so, they sell the HD ones that are solid. What my opinion is, I dont care about solid, cuz dry needle bearings, are gonna clunk... same with balljoints... The new NAPA have a stainless cup, the joint sits in, the factory have nylon, that crack, then you get play... Kind like a knee, with a torn maniscus... same thing...

Well put, Mustang. Thanks for the heads up on the new NAPA products. I just can't make that mental leap to owning a work truck and not using my grease gun!

Or is it because 90% of customers wont grease the damn things anyway, so we can save money by putting non-greaseable stuff in...

Just did the 2 upper ball joints on my 05 with 80k rounds on it. The lowers were done at 60k. Granted, this truck works hard, I dont buy for a second that they wouldn't have last longer had they been greaseable. The new ones have zerks of course, so we'll see how long this set lasts...

My 2001 has greaseable u-joints and ball joints, and they are greased often. I can understand why small cars and 1/2 tons dont have greasable parts, they aren't wear parts like on superduties, and they're seldom run at or near GVW day in and day out.
