3.0 liter a/c clutch issues

Don't know if this is the proper forum but here goes?

Have a 01 XLT 3.0 ffv with 210k miles. A/C works fine but it takes 5 to 10 minutes to kick on when started. Blows fine after that. Freon is fine. tried to bypass high side switch and low side witch to no avail.

Any ideas?

Problem solved!!

OK I found the problem. It was a faulty "A/C Clutch Solenoid" located in the underhood fuse box near the master cylinder.

I hope this helps anyone else who experiences this problem.
