theyre usually easy... specially on them newer ones... since they started bolting them downward instead of through 2 brackets... i like those ones... easy to get to the bolts... unlike the older ones where you had like 15000 different things bolted to the same bolts as the alternators... and never with a fixed nut on them either... they were always removable...

Jr, must be something in the water with the chebby alternators. Hubby parked his at the airport, came back a week later (stupid late flight) and the alternator didn't get him home. Had to go get him, and then take him back in the am to get the alternator off, then to the parts store and back to the chebby.
Bud-Auto Zone informed me that plug 3 isn't firing. Hubby gets home Friday night, so Saturday is Ford day. I'm about 30 miles from Seaford DE, think its safe to take the kids to the cruise Thursday, or should I try to make next weeks?

yeah the newer setups they have now the side of the alternator has 2 tabs (one on each side)... one of the tabs has 2 bolts in it going straight down other side same way... just with 1 bolt instead of 2... other than that you just unplug the quick connector and take the serp belt off and your done...
my s10 i remember doing the alternator on it... but cant remember how its bolted up... but pretty easy to do since theyres lots of room around that engine... (cept where id like it to have it)...
