Can someone at altitude tell me what they are running in terms of jetts? I recently put a CArter AFB on my 351W (85 Bronco) and I live at an altitude of about 4600 feet (near Salt Lake City). I have gone down 3 jet sizes and it still seems to be running rich. Especially when just when the secondaries open up. It will stall out at that point. Last night I put an 0.086 in the secondary jets and a 0.089 for the primaries but I wasn't able to get out and try this setting out. It idled and revved fine but I didn't get to drive it. Hopefully I can get to it before the weekend.
Is the fuel pressure an issue with these carbs? The manual says not to have more than 6.5 psi. I don't know what my fuel pressure is but I don't think it would be >6.5 psi. The floats are within specs too.
Any info on tuning at this altitude would be greatly appreciated.
