I'm going to weld up all the seams, and seal the underside of the seam as well. I really like the look of the box without the seams. No sense giving it a chance to rust there again, also!
Seems to be close. I'll know more when I can set the other box side next to it. Might try that next week. I'll be curious to see how close the body lines are.

So...I had a thought....I was planning on doing some sort of plate, to install the 79 steering box on the 67's frame. But, I'm wondering....... (and this is usually where it gets dangerous)....Instead, maybe I could cut the front frame section off of a 77-79 4x4, and , cut the same off of my 67 frame, then, have that welded on to my 67 frame...Box would bolt right on in the perfect spot.........Just thinking.....

Thoughts?
I'd have to see the two frame horns side by side to see. Height, width, how the crossmember mounts to it, etc. Seems like you'd end up welding in a closure plate at the seam anyways. For strength.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the plate. I have a buddy in Missouri chapter, he's going to send me pics of the front frame of a -150 he has. I'll take a look at see.
