So I bought the lower F650 dash panel and installed it the other day. As you can tell by the pictures (sorry for them being so large). It is a close fit but it works! You cannot even fit a finger between the shifter and the dash while it is in neutral.
I took pictures of the shifter in all of its possitions.
I need to paint this to match the rest of the dash. What type of paint should I use? I had some one else paint my gauge pod and I do not know what they used but it has lasted six years without any chiping or other defects.
SEM and VHT make vinyl dye in spray cans. Just like painting a car, the end result is all in the prep. Make sure the part is completely free of oil/dirt/whatever.
Curious, what's the benefit to this lower dash panel? I see the difference, but not the reasoning.

Thanks for the info. I have six switches that I would like to relocate as well as a guage or two that I would like to put in it. The beniefit is having all of my stuff in one location. I could have done the switch panel from a 05-07 truck but I wanted to do this. It is just personal preference.
As for all of you guys with the six speed, sorry to get your hopes up. I tried to word the title so you would not get confused.
Now all I have to do is get everything installed and get it painted. That should only take a few months for me.
