I'd try http://completeoffroad.com/c-59830-f...-sterling.html they have the best prices on gears around. I've bought from them before and their great to deal with.

You'll need a ring & pinion set and a master install kit... along with all of the tools required to set the gears.

If you've never installed gears before, you're much better off to get someone that has done them and is good at it, to do them for you.

do you have a F250 or F350? i think the F250's came with a D50 and D60 as an option and the F350's came with the D60 standard.

the D50's are LP and the D60's are HP

the easiest way to tell is look where the pinion comes out of the diff... if it's above the center line then it's HP (D60) and if it's below then it's a LP (D50)

edit: keep in mind when ordering gears that for a HP you need reverse cut gears... if you have the D60. LP use regular cut gears.

Thanks! I just got off the phone with Rich (Owner). Very good prices. I'm also waiting for Clay to PM his price.

master bearing set(s) 75W140 syn gear oil, RTV for diff covers( or new MagTech covers)
Big torque wrench to set pinion preload, small in lb torque wrench to check preload, bearing race drivers, might want to pull the rear hubs and check the bearings and seals and the $#%$^ E Brakes while you are this close. that should be a good start.

Nothing planned yet. I need to get a few other things done first. This is the beginning of the research phase. All info received here today is helpful.
