Would like opinions on u-joints

I need to replace the seals inside the "pumpkin" on my front end of my 2004 F250. So since I am taking everthing apart to get to them, and replacing all the seals on the way in, I figure I might as well do the u-joints on the front drive shafts too.

My question is should I stick with the stock Ford u-joints or should I go after market? Are there some aftermarket u-joints that are superior to the Ford or are the Ford ones the best to go with? Should I get u-joints with grease fittings or if they have grease fittings would it be too difficult to grease them?

Would appreciate some opinions from those who have been there before. Thanks

IMO the Spicers cant be beat. If you are a hardcore 4-wheeler or put alot of stress on the 4-wd system go with the non-greaseable joints there overall stronger units. If you do normal everyday driving or light abuse go with the greasable joint. The non-grease joints may not outlive the greaseable but will in heavy duty abuse.

Personally; I would get the cheapest ones I could find and not even that if they are still good. If you spend a lot of time in a foot of water it won't matter what is in there. If you do "normal" driving the front joints rarely go out and it's not an easy job to replace them either. The reason they give little problem is because they are not even turning unless you are in 4WD, also when they are rarely in 4WD each one only carries 1/3rd of the total burden. But, if you do a TON of 4 wheeling with oversize wheels I would recommend the Spicers with zerks. (after the old ones are shot).
