Just want to post that pull-a-part Nashville has acouple old bumpsides and one go Slick in the yard; also a very sharp 71 Lincoln 2dr; itsin better shape than most vehcile's on the road. I was able to find a excellent tailgate 67-72 style and took the hood from the Slick as well a some trim parts.
love that yard.
Just venture out; got a buddy who's on there alert notice, but it seems hit & miss; by the time we drive down if theparts are on the truck or even if its the actual type of truck. Over all great concept and love there set prices.
Agreed. Our pull a part is a great source of hard parts! I'm always surprised by the quality of some of the cars/trucks up there. I went a couple weeks ago searching for some wiring harnesses and got em off a nice stepside. Best part... ABout $4 for everything!!
No sir, We have several yards around here. Most with good ol boys running them. They are easy to deal with and let me go pull my parts from teh trucks.
I have to go to Nashville to hit the Pull a part. BUt at times it's well worth the trip!
Now with cash for clunkers; those yards are going to have more vehicles.
The only other pull-a-parts i'm aware of around us; is Louisville Ky, Altanta, Brimingham Ala, don't know about Knoxville??
I'll be in Nashville yard; Thursday afternoon, with a buddy; pulling a rearend.

But the engine have to be destroyed as well as the bodies from what i've seen/heard.
Did go last thursday; seems to have a few more trucks, they empty out where dodge vehicles where move them across from Fords. And I guess they have 3 acres open for new arrivals or just crushing for metal.
Tim I'll explain thru pm or cell.
I need a 1 ton rear axle for my 99 E-350, lookin for 4.10 gears and disc brakes, I got 3.50 LS and disc brakes, just need one with lower gears to make up for my weight, gas is killing me.
There was a older model dually in the pull-a-parts and acouple old ambulance as well a awhile back;
Havn't paid that much attention to anything newer than 79 models.
