yes, I put her away for the winter so I could devote more time to just one project.....I have found I can't do justice to multiple projects....you can find me on the HAMB at "my first custom... '49 ford tudor" 2345.coupe.......
got the motor and tranny married and in the car..........4X4 bronco rear sump oil pan clears the front cross member and the drag link is set in between the tranny and pan.... motor mounts worked out great.........
Great project.
That plate looks like aluminum! Why box them in? They've been "tough enough" for 50+ years going through who-knows-what. But maybe you have a reason.
had some down time on the tudor......got 2 of the three steps completed on the por-15 application...1. marine clean ,2. metal ready...now ready for the last step, rust preventive paint....
^^^^^^^^^^Now THAT"S the way to prep metal!! Did you wash it off with water really well?? POR 15 will adhere very well now. Are you putting POR15 everywhere? What are you top-coating it with?
yea, I washed off both the marine clean and metal ready real good. I'm just doing the outside now to seal it up and tarp it then outside she goes to make room in the shop to work on the tudor. I also need room to work on the plow truck if needed,we get a lot of snow up here. Next year I'll por-15 the interior portion of the cab and flat green her.......
got a nice offenhauser dual- port intake and motor craft 4bbl carb.. $ 175.00 plus the ride...carb needs rebuilding...leaning toward a Edelbrock 500 cfm., or holley 390 cfm...if I can rebuilt the motor craft I'll try it out also
