Check out what I scored at a yard sale

I picked this up at a yard sale in Beebe Saturday morning for $40 smackers..

I think I did pretty good:

http://www.amazon.com/Superchips-180...0478210&sr=8-1

I met up with mike this afternoon and used his superchips to put my truck back to stock, then used that one to program mine. I was afraid that it was going to be vin-locked, but it wasn't.

So for now I have a programmer of my own, and I figured, what the hey, lets try the performance tune.. I got surge and smoke .. YEAH

the tuner has a usb port for updates, and when I updated it, it added a special mileage tune, so I'll probably run that a while and see how she does..

oh, and I calibrated my speedo for the new tires

I have the mileage tune on it now, and surprisingly it doesn't feel much difference than the performance tune. It just shifts different

hit 26lbs of boost even with the exhaust leak.. guess its time for a Wicked Wheel.. I knew I would sooner or later.

Is the wheel easier to change with the turbo on or off? or should I stick wtih the wheel I have and invest in a housing? clays got them for about $350

I'll go easy on this tank of fuel and see how well it does

Plenty of folks have done the wheel with it on the truck, but I prefer to pull it off. That way you can gut the EBPV housing at the same time.....and you don't have to jam a screwdriver into your turbine wheel to hold it in place to get the intake wheel off.

Not sure how I missed this thread for two weeks.....but good score!

Probably just a wicked wheel, unless you can get a set of bellowed pipes on the cheap.. or a ported housing

On a side note.. I think the superchips fixed my lie-o-meter. Its back to reading 17-23mpg, which is roughly what it was showing when the truck was still stock.

I'll know when I run this tank of fuel out, may take a while at my rate..

I can actually drive it now though, picked up a couple of 1000/850 batteries at sams this weekend, they really spin her over.
