Northeastern Illinois Parts
Does anyone know of any dealers that carry obsolete parts for the 73-79 trucks in Northeaster Illinois? I am looking for front bumper brackets for my truck and so far(with some help in the 73-79 forums)the only ones I have found are out west. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try Dennis Carpenter, or Mac's Antique Auto.
If they don't have the right stuff, gather up some PB Blaster, a propane torch,
your wrenches, and find some rural area junk yards. Good luck, these old
truck parts are becoming scarce here in the salt belt.

Yeah, there is only one or two left by me and neither of them have had any dentsides. I did check both Dennis Carpenter and Mac's and they don't sell the front bumper brackets. I will just have to keep looking. Just sucks that these brackets are all that's keeping me off the road right now.
