I have a 1952 ford panel truck and desperately need a right-side door latch anyone know of anybody that remakes these or would any of you have one you'd be willing to sell a desperate soul?

Those are not reproduced.

And since it is the passenger side, it will have the addition for the exterior door lock. I would check e-bay. There was one on there and a set for th eother side, but I think someone here bought the drivers side.

What's wrong with the old one? (or is it still at the previous owners house).

If I'm understanding correctly, you need a passenger side door latch assembly? IS this for a side door (front door) or for the rear? I'll have to look in the garage but I think I have a couple laying around since I've parted out/gutted 3 or 4 sets of doors.

irondragon79, it is the passenger side front door. If you have one i would love to buy it from you. Also if you had any door hinges I'd love to get them from you as well

Between irondragon and myself, you should be able to find your part.

There are no hinges available separately. You'll need to get another door.

Bob's F-100 will re-condition your old ones if you can do without it for a while. Otherwise if it is a non locking mechanisim like my 48 drivers door, they will send you a complete reconditioned unit and credit you for your core when you send it later.

 

I have three in various condition. The shafts are good and all mechanisms will need to be cleaned and lubricated. All are missing the spring that holds the inside door lock handle in place and allows you to lock the door from the inside. The springs are available for purchase from a parts vendor but I forget who. Julie knows where to get them.

I have a spare right side door mechanism ( locking type ) if you need .Also anyone needing the drivers side door locking mechanism ebay has a pair up for auction #300342237926 . The last drivers side sold for around $50.00 .Also a set of door hinges in the 1952 ford truck category .I guess their is a reason why I search that category twice daily . Hope this helps .Denny

 

And did Denny get the other drivers side latch with the lock from e-bay? $50 - not to bad for being so hard to find!
