04 Valet Bulb

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get to this bulb. Its located under the mirror[passenger side] Just to be clear, the valet light I am talking about is when you unlock/open the doors. He are a few pics. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. I HAVE TRIED THE SCREW SHOWN IN THE PIC WITH THE MIRROR FOLDED IN

I'm pretty sure you have to remove the glass. It pops out with two tabs. I did this when I looked into converting my signal lamp to signal+parking.

Found the tab on the outer portion of the mirror/behind it. Seemed the back cover would pop out but I didnt force it.

Mirror signal pod removal

Remove the screw you can access with the mirror folded in. The entire signal assembly will pop out - the outboard part of the pod is held in place by a metal clip. You might have to insert a flat screw driver between the bottom of the mirror glass and the housing to press the clip in enough so the signal pod will pop out. Shine a light in the housing and you should see the clip.

I found out the hard way there was a screw holding the inboard part of the pod in place.

You don't need to remove the mirror glass if you don't want to risk breaking the glass. I did that too....

Once the pod's out you can change the puddle lamp bulb and the turn signal bulb. Do both since you have it apart.
