'97 Ford F-150 4.6L V8 - No Spark! Help, please.
Hello,
I have a very frustrating problem that there is no spark to any of the spark plugs on my '97 Ford F-150 4.6L V8.
It happened suddenly one day that the engine just died. I pulled out and then put back in one of the spark plugs and then it started again for some reason.
Then the same problem happened.
There is no Check Engine Light or codes to look at.
The truck's starter cranks and cranks, but no firing of any cylinders.
The coil packs, coil wires and spark plugs are all brand new.
There is power to the coil packs.
All of the fuses look good.
The only thing I can think of is either the PCM, Crank or Cam Sensor.
Can anyone who is expert at troubleshooting this type of problem provide me with a battery checklist of things I can check in order to solve this problem?
I would be most grateful. And I'm buying another Ford, so I'm loyal to the Ford company. I'd sure appreciate it if my truck would work, too.
Sincerely,
Jake
