RRE English Mountain Drag Times and GTG

I got to say, this was a great time at the E.M. dragstrip. It was the first time I ever had my truck on the track and with a little push from Huck and Ray and especially my wife, she wanted to see what my truck could do. I kept telling her about the 568 miles to get home and she said along with the guys, If your going to break something, might as well be here, got a kick out of that but it was the truth, there was enough under the hood experience if something did bust. Anyways, just wanted to post this up and tell you guys and gals we had a blast and can't wait til next year. Here's some time's I recorded with my 3 races with my 9 year old as my copilot in the 1/8 mile. 1st one was by myself in 80E and in two wheel drive 11.993 at 66.475 mph Reaction time.811 Second race with Scott Crum71 Scott:10.232 at 70.05 MPH Reaction time.452 win. Me: 80 E 11.615 at 65.874 MPH Reaction time: .794 lost this one because I did this, smoked them up 3rd race with Scott him:10.164 at 69.893 MPH reaction time:.381 Me: 120S 11.040 at 66.203 MPH reaction time:212. I ran with a full tank and a 300 or better ARE cap on the back so i,m looking to get some better numbers next year just for the fun of it. Unbelievable what these trucks can do. Anybody else have their times or stories??? A big thanks to Clay for this event and another big thanks to Scott and the Tn. fellas for putting this day at the dragstrip together..

Thanks for posting that up, Mike. I wish I could have been there. Live tuning took precedent. Next time I will be on the track for sure.

When we went back to our TT I was looking at those time slips and although they are not super dupper numbers, just getting out their with my son and having fun was worth its weight in gold to see his face. Been awhile since I did this(street), used to race down in Philly on front street back in the day, very popular place. Back to your question, yes, they were getting better. Just seen your post Roland, you had a ligitament excuse..see yaa next year out there..

Good thread Mike.

I will put mine on here. You know my truck, big, lol. I had 1/2 tank of fuel in my truck tank, 1/3 of my 95 gal. transfer tank, and a tool box full of crap.

1st run. 10.40 time, 74.54 MPH, .199 RT. This was in 2wd and spinning the tires.

2nd run. 10.10 time, 74.39 MPH, .170 RT. This was in 4wd with a little boost.

3rd run. 9.46 time, 75.17 MPH, .284 RT. This was in 4wd with around 20# boost.

I agree, this was so much fun. I wish I would have raced a few more times, but I was looking at 850 miles pulling my TT back home.

Thanks Rick, been thinking about it for awhile and waiting to blow up that burnout, lol. Great numbers Rick, watched you race also. Impressed with the 3rd race, better time with 4x4 locked up, traction baby.. To everybody that went, feel free to post up your rigs burning out or whatever, you know we all like pics...
