Nick Alexander's (Nick Can't Say NO!) Woody Collection

You've all heard his commercial for his BMW dealership, right? His daughter is doing them now. He owns an impressive collection of Woody's, said to include every Woody that Ford ever made.

His collection recently sold at auction for $7MM.

A few photos:

Woody's

Nice cars. Looks like they just came off the show room floor.

The '46 Mercury Marmon-Harrington conversion in this pic looks like the one that was out at the Fabulous Fords show in La Palma park last year.

Edit: On second glance, I'm not so sure. I think that one had a roof rack, which I don't see here.

Does anyone know if this place was open for tours? I had never heard of it, but then I don't get out much. I understand the property was condemned to be turned into a Target store.

Nick must have sold a lot of beemers!

Nick's sales dropped off to next to nothing. Not one ad of his has appeared in the LA Times for months.

His dealership is no longer listed in the SoCal BMW dealers directory.

His entire woodie collection was just sold at auction.

The pictured Marmon-Herrington Mercury is not the same as the one that was at the 40's Limited Car show June 2008 (at La Palma Park) that some of us attended the day after the Western Nationals.

For one thing, it doesn't have the Coachcraft Ltd. roof rack on it.

I guess all dealers are hurting, and BMW would be no exception.

Alexander web sites look active. I've heard his daughters Mini commercials in the last few days. She runs things now and hers are the only commercials I hear. I always smile in a lecherous manner, when I hear her say that she can't say NO.

She's hot, too!

The Mini is probably selling better than the BMW.
