Question 1987 F150 4X4 Vehicle Certification label

I have been trying to check the codes on the sticker on my door jamb. I can not seem to find some of the codes on my sticker. I can not find out what the TRANS code A is. Anyone know what it could be? Also, anyone know what a 'creeper' is and how I can tell if that is what I have?

If you have a four speed manual transmission-you have a T18 and it does have a creeper/granny first gear of 6.40:1 ratio.

I have one of them for parts. I can check the sticker, if it hasn't been killed by sitting in the weather with no doors.

I checked while I was pulling wheels off of it. It was faded, but it was an "A," too, and I know that truck had the granny gear 4-speed, because we used it to pull silage wagons around, and even with oversize tires, it had a lot of kick in the pants. We always started in 2nd at intersections, because 1 was so low.

And I'm 95% sure it's the factory tranny. Put that behind a 300, and you've got a stump puller.
