What are you talking about? The 6.7 is in no way related to the 7.3 in any way shape or form. Its not "kinda like" anything to the 7.3

yea after reading about the new diesel it sounds completly UNLIKE anything we've seen before..

with backwards flow and alloy heads and a host of other new features..

just hopefully they hit the ground running.. would be BAD news if Ford builds a new engine to get rid of the bad history with Navistar only to have problems with their own design...

but i have faith they'll be doing everything that is necc. to make this new powerplant a homerun..

More and more OEM paint is water based now. This has a lot to do with fed regs on VOCs. Those regs also have OEMs putting on thinner coats of paint to futher reduce VOCs.

What I was trying to infer Lead Head is the 6.7 will be like the 7.3 in terms of a strong, proven, pulling machine and a single turbo. Yes it is nothing like we have never seen in shape form or fashion DUH!. The 6.0 generates loads of tourq but weak head bolts is a problem...upgrade that and you have a good engine. To boil down the 7.3 and the 6.0......7.3 is a mountain climbing rig and the 6.0 is a flat lander......upgrade the 6.0 and you have 2 fine diesels but I lean to the proven 7.3. Lets hope the new 6.7 will be a good stroker.

Should be easier to work on if anything. Its a reverse flow motor, meaning the intake valves are on the outside of the engine (I am not sure, but the 6.7 actually might pull in air through the valve covers, rather the ouside of the heads?) and the exhausts are within the V, so you have short plumbing right to the turbo. The engine also has a air-water-air intercooler setup. which means the plumbing from the turbo to the intake is short and simple (as you can see in the picture )

To each his own I suppose. I think dodge ruined there lights with the current gen. Not to thrilled about the 150 either. My only complaint about the current SD lights is all the chrome and that they are inverted, I'll fix the chrome problem with HD lights but they are a bit pricey!

new sd

im not going say to anything about the new sd until i see for myself in front of me. i do took note of the drop down fender. the cooling system has to be pretty big to cool them turbos in the middle of the in valley of the engine wif alum. heads in between. that would be my concern. nother thought is this urea solution that u have to add to make it epa clean. ask ur selves how much this will cost? or how much use?
as for concern the gas engine im not real big on the idea that the v-10 leaving, have u ever thought that 6.2 v-8 will replace 5.4 ? it will be in the raptor. keep in mine ford has been having very good sucsses wif sc [super chargers]. would if they put one on the v-10? or 6.7. i do no the v-10 will still be made past 2011 date. it sure is easyer to make 400 hp and 500lb wif the v-10.
did u all take note of the price of 2010 dzl it whent up. this 6.7 will to.
