Build one on the SVT site and you'll see the price is correct. The jacking up of the price because they can wouldn't fly with me. I remember back when the new Thunderbirds were first released several years ago most dealers jacked the price up $10k over sticker. Of course that thunderbird was a huge flop.
I personally like the Blue Raptor with no graphics.

I'll go against the grain and say Ford can keep the Raptor. If Ford needs an idea of where to put it, I can help them with that too. Right up their over priced.. (_|_)

Does the raptor have coils or leafs in the rear?

Coil-over up front, leafs out back
exact same basic truck as the normal F-150...just SVT & Fox Shocks have added their own twist.

these 5.4 raptors will be obsolete when the boss 6.2 becomes available, why would you buy this truck without the motor

Is the 5.5' bed the only one to be offered on the Raptor? Would be nice with a 6.5' option.

How is it overpriced.....you couldn't buy a stocker and make that with aftermarket parts for that price......I think the raptor is priced amazing

yep. That truck MSRP is only $2k more than a similar equipped FX4
so you get lockers, 6" lift, 35" tires, tow hooks...tuned offroad suspension. and more goodies that escape me right now
all for only $2k more.
and for another $2,400 you can fix the HP problem with a Supercharger like I did on my old FX4.
Yeah, the 5.4 won't be much comparison to a 6.2 with 400 HP...but at only $2,000 more than the FX4, I think I could "
suffer " through it
That is one hell of a deal. You couldn't even do the 6" lift and tires for that price. Ford hit a homerun IMO. Just wish I had the money to buy 1.

A stocker is over priced too.
All new trucks are over priced. They aren't nearly worth what you pay for them.
I guess for the middle class working man like me, they're over priced. =)

I'm sure the intended market isn't just for Baja, otherwise wouldn't have all the "goodies" on it.

I searched the internet for dealer inventory within 75 miles of where I live, I only found one Raptor and that was almost 65 miles away.
