So my mom let her neighbor park his ROUGH bullnose in her backyard to get it out of the street until he finds a new transmission for it. I stopped by to take a look at it, and man is it rough. It makes everything that was wrong with my 1980 look simple. *Almost* makes me regret selling mine.

With that being said, I'm planning on finding another. This time one that runs. I bit off way more than I could chew with my 1980. I wish I had kept some of the parts from it, like the hard to find Ranger Lariat stuff and the NOS parts I bought for it. But oh well. Not sure what I'll end up with, but I'll probably settle for an 82+ and make an 80-81 clone since I'm partial to that era and prefer it. Hope everybody is doing good!

Ford stopped making that particular trim a LONG time ago, and no one reproduces it. (And probably never will. )

Thanks, Chief! I am a HUGE fan of your Flareside as well.

Considering the shape it was in, my wife was totally surprised how great everything turned out. We are both very proud of it. And thanks to this website, it runs every bit as good as any modern vehicle.

She looks pretty solid to me! Any idea where those cool side steps came from?

Thanks! The truck has been good so far and it gets better every time I take a wrench to it.
As for the cool steps, I am not sure, but to the best of my knowledge they could be factory original! The truck is a base model but it has a few options so that could be a possibility. There's a small stamped logo on the steps with a Ford logo, I think.

84 F-250 460 Lariat 167k drives and runs perfect. No rust. Interior is almost spotless. I plan on giving it a proper paint job soon and some more aggressive wheels and tires.
