1965 F-100 4x4...

Noob here guys...I am picking up a 1965 F-100 4x4 on an early 80's Bronco frame. It has a 302 out of a 1985 truck. It has a 6" Skyjacker suspension lift with a 5" body lift. Where do I begin? I am a Jeep guy, but I love the old Ford trucks, I just know NOTHING about them. Be nice, I am new to Fords...

Welcome aboard; in my opinion drop / get rid of the body lift off; and it will look and perform better; example, front & rear bumper will mate to body better. Additionally 5" body lift is not needed on your ride and I bet the shifting linkage for the 4x4 will shift in gear / stay in gear better without the body lift.
Over sharp set-up. Glad to have ya aboard...

I hate body lifts on Jeeps....it is the first thing that will be pulled out of the Ford. Will the 38's still fit or will they rub?

Can't really tell by the pic; but looks like alot of front clearnace and if any the front portion of the rear tire might come close once you drop the body lift. Have you driven in 4wd with alittle bind on the transfer; to see if it pops out of gear with that much body lift. The problem i mention early and with pass trucks; body lifts seem to cause that to happen especially 5 " of height.
As mention love the look but not keen on that much body lift...
