I picked up a trailer made from a 70 or 71 bumpside bed yesterday for 60 bucks. I found it on Craig's list. This one has a Dana 60 3.73 that appears to be good. The bed sides are better than the ones on my 68 and has a decent tailgate. I may restore this bed and put it on the 68. The main difference that I can see is that this one has holes for side marker lights and the 68 doesn't. I am thinking about replacing the 4.10 in my 67 F250 with this 3.73 for maybe a little better gas mileage. Makes me wonder how many of these are out there with decent or restorable beds. I know there must have been thousands of them made.
I picked up a 57' to early 60's style short fleetside trailer a few years ago for $50. The box is almost perfect, rust free with only a few dents and no tailgate.
I picked up a low mileage 67 F250 in great shape for $100. Originally I was going to use the fenders for my 69 but it was in such good condition I decided to make it into a trailer instead. The trailer, tires and hitch are rated for 5000 lbs. It pulls like a dream. I pulled the fenders, grill, doors, etc. to use on the 69. I gave the cab away
