Should I still use my old Diablo Predator?

Should I still use my old Diablo Predator?
Got a question.... I haven't been on here in a long while.... I have an 04 6.0 with about 76K on it, 4wd, CC. I bought a Diablo Predator when the truck had less than 10K miles on it and ran it for quite a while on the 60 HP setting. Never put the hottest tune on it and I'm pretty easy on the truck. I don't tow more than 5K pounds with it and do that very rarely. I mainly use it for a 200 mile trip a couple times a month on the highway with about 50 miles at high elevation. About 8000 feet. About two years ago, my EGR cooler went and thankfully was repaired under warranty. I have not reinstalled the tuner since. On my last trip, I was thinking it would be nice to have that power back. Does anyone have any words of wisdom on reinstalling the 60 HP tune? Only other mods are cat-back exhaust.... and gauges. I am easy on the truck and don't do any racing or pulling. Just looking for a bit more passing power. However, with that said, I have no desire to have to replace another EGR cooler, though I'm told it is usually a repeatable problem.

Tennessee, do you mean you wouldn't install it or wouldn't disagree with installing it?
I don't necessarily think my Programmer CAUSED the EGR cooler to fail, but I guess I became leary of the possibility of the programmer expediting the failure of another EGR cooler and the associated $3000 repair bill. So you're saying the programmer has no effect on it and it wouldn't hurt to reinstall it as long as I don't drive it like an idiot?

to avoid another egr cooler failure you need to monitor yyuur ECT vs EOT temp deltas closely no more than 15* spread
a tunner has nothing to do with egr cooler failure
SCT tunners what everyone seams to like here
SCT wont take out your tranny
mainly you dont want a tunner that will shift on the fly cuz thats really hard on the trans

look into a scann gauge it will get your ECT vs EOT temps
it also will get your FICM voltage and ICP and IPR for your high pres oil
and a bunch more gauges for 160.00$$
www.scangauge.com
Iv got probably 20 gauges ford specific but theres like 40-50 to choose from
Im happey with it and it saved me from the famous EGR cooler failure cuz I could watch my temps
I had a 25-30* ect v eot spread and after I cut opoen that oil cooler it was plugged 85-90%
heres what causes the egr cooler failure the plugged oil cooler
the screw driver points to a coolant cell every one is plugged
most put on a coolant filter to help avoid this and watch it with gauges
