993504x4 Bucking like no fuel

Hello guys I need some help. I 'll try and make a long story short.

1 year ago I installed flash pack 100hp tune truck ran like the devil.
10 months ago I remove the tune.
5 months ago I reinstalled tune and it didn't run no where near as strong??

4 months ago replaced water pump and cps (just for precautionary measures)

1 month ago The truck just had a new windshield installed to stop the in CAB leaking I've had for a while??? ( shorted something)

2 weeks ago started bucking slightly in overdrive, so I replaced dirty fuel filter.

NO CEL

YESTERDAY; started shaking clearly missing on several cylinders and finaly stalling all together. It will resart and idle but roughly and and surging. If i accelarate it it will rev to whatever but clearly missing on at least two cylinders with no smoke.

I have checked fuel filter and it is spotless.

I would like to thank you in advance for all your help. Desy

I would start by checking all the wires on the harness on top of the valve cover. Then I would check the UVCH to make sure it isn't partly unplugged, and do the (Chris fifty) mod.

Desy,

Ditto what Rick said. Here is a great starting point to help diagnose the problem. LINK

No problems undervalve cover

what is the idling fuel pressure supposed to be?

I had 30 then it went up after 3 minutes to 39psi.

What are the odds of gas tank filter dirty/ pump on its way out?

Maybe that would explain the tuner not running as hard on second install?

I think I'm goin tackle fuel tank,.....

Any thought old wise ones??? Thanks again

No engine light does point toward a fuel issue. 30 psi is too low. Did you plumb a gauge into your fuel filter bowl? If so, I'd recommend pulling the hose off the back of the fuel pump, place a short hose on the back of the pump and stick the other end in a 5 gallon container of diesel. Then start the truck up and check what your pressure is at idle. If the pressure jumps up, it's time to drop the tank.

The electric fuel pump is usually an on / off type of issue, so low pressure usually points to a restriction inside the fuel tank. Dirty screens in the mixing chamber are the most common cause. Many here do the in tank mods so they never have to worry about this issue. http://www.guzzle7pt3.com/hutch.php

I'd be looking at the fuel tank filters too. Just had the same issue last week. Worked good on level land, but when heading up a hill....well, very, very slow go if at all. Definately Hutch/Harpoon the tank. I'm going to get back into mine, going with a larger pick up and a second pump. Already have the line going up to the bowl, and the bowl comes out this weekend too.
