Ive been running the microtuner from superchips for about 30,000 miles with no problems, recently I had my tranny redone with a billet converter and a few extras now My tourque converter locks and unlocks like somebody is flipping a switch every couple of seconds from 50-60 towing a 10,000lb trailer. Had it scanned by the builder and he seems to think its the chip along with a fellow FTE guy what does everyone think. Time for a custom chip, I hope thats all. Thanks

 

Run it stock. If the tranny sucks then it started in a suck locker. Tuning may help but a stock tranny not right ends up one that isn't right even with tunes.

 

What are the "few extra" things that were done?

If anything was done like a heavy duty shift kit this is why the SC does not work like it did before. You need tunes set up for what has been done in the tranny build.

Your torque sounds like it is doing about the same as a friends 02 F350
At 55 to 60 mph with a load and OD locked out the torque will lock and unlock constantly but without OD locked out it's fine
He also has a Superchips programmer but says it does the same with stock tuning

 

mine does it locked or unlocked I pulled the chip and I am going to take it for a spin when I get home today

 

seems like the problem was the chip, I just got back from making some pretty hard pulls and the tranny didnt act up. DP-TUNER time
