Horsepower ratings, Interesting

So I found these HP charts and 169 sure doesn't sound like much for my 400. In 84-86 there was a 351 HO with 210 HP and a 4 bbl. What did they do to bump up that 351?
Engines:

Thank you

I was wondering what the difference in a 79 351m and 87 302 efi are. If the 87 302 is the same as the 86 I'm in good shape. This 302 is in an 87 e 150 club wagon with a beefed cam in it.

The 70s were a sad time.
Bought a new 79 brand X 3/4ton 350 4speed 4X2. Even with the grannie low 1st in the 4speed when I dropped a rear tire in a hole out in the middle of a dry field I was stuck couldn't spin a tire.
