Pending oil pump faliure?
Could a sporadic lifter tick be caused by an oil pump that needs to be replaced?

NO.

Theres alot of things that can cause lifter tick, but an oil pump thats on the blink is not one of them.

I cant diagnose this problem from what youve mentioned, it could be several things. I am certain its not the oil pump though.
