Does the visor on the cab leak? Do you have any rot around the bolts? I like the looks of them , but I just can not bring myself to drill holes in my roof.

amazingly, no!
the best looking part of the truck is the visor.
the holes had a good sealant on them, when I took off the visor to repaint it, I made sure to get some silicone type sealant around the bolts before re-attaching.
and from what I can tell, there is no internal leaking, yet. the metal where the headliner would be, is rust free, the exterior where the bolts are, is also rust free
as long as you can get the holes properly protected, I'm sure a visor would complete the look.
our trucks kinda look naked without the visors, especially if you have a regular cab, long box. too plain. Visors make it all better.
and from what I can tell, they are not too expensive, hey, you might even be able to find one with the lights installed on it. i've been searching for one of those for months now. I love that look even more than my current visor
I'd venture that your V10 cranks out more BTUs than the 4-banger in my daily driver! BTW...maybe the hybrid driver intentionally got stuck in your grill guard to improve their mileage?
Josh, You mentioned that you have an iPhone. There is an app called Lose It that is pretty helpful as far as losing weight goes and it's free. It has helped me lose quite a bit of weight so far this year.
run and lift weights.
So how long will you sign up for?
running and lifting. I'll start tomorrow
don't know yet.
I don't want it to be a super short term thing. I'm looking forward to this, and I feel a lot of pride right now.

Bill 100112 hit the nail on the head. If you are in good shape before you report, you will handle the physical stuff without a problem. I went through OTS in 1989, so I have to say I think you are making an excellent choice! Good luck, man!

thanks
like I said, I don't want to crawl back to JCP for an $8/hour job, or hobby lobby for a $9/hour job.
i want to fnally do something with my life.
I think that you are on the right track! From your bio...are you a military brat?
no, not really.
my bio dad was in the USAF, but my step dad was in the German Luftwaffe, when my mom divorced bio dad, and married my step dad, he was in the Luftwaffe for another 2-3 years, then retired. I never lived on base, always off base, and I was only exposed to it for a fraction of my life, most which i don't even remember.
we moved to germany because of my step dads career, and moved back because of a relatives death.
nothing after 1993 really ever involved anything military.
wish it would have though, I would have loved joining the Civil Air Patrol had I know about it earlier in my life.
I have nothing but good things to say about Optima batteries....if a battery can survive multiple charging system malfunctions, including a 10 mile trip at 10.5V and a short time of 17V overcharge, -and- can sit untouched for a month, still hooked up to a vehicle, and start it up like I parked it yesterday, it's a good doggone battery.
LOVE the look of visor on our trucks. Jmeyer thats a pretty truck i think! Its got alittle cosmetic damage but thats expected.
An if you are wanting to lose weight fast than i highly suggest you dont lift that much. Because if you dont already work out that much you can easily put on pounds of muscle. (which might not be a bad thing depending on what you want)
Start running now.... You can never start running to early for the army.
yeah, she's a beauty. rust can always be repaired. I actually like the way she looks, gives her attitude no one seems to ever cut me off anymore, or tailgate. But they do ask why I take up 2-3 parking spots, sometimes 4, in parking lots
"well duh, I don't want anyone to scratch my truck!"
I don't think I could live without my visor, I'm thinking about getting some neon lights tucked away up there, possible some reds and blues haha
