Need a wider rear end

So as I was looking at the back fo my pickup and my 44s are completely covered by my fender flares... and I wish they'd stick out atleast flush. Does anyone know how much wider the dualie rear axle is in the 92-97 series fords are?

I dont know about the newer Fords but where I used to work we had a 85 K30 and its duallie rear end looked like it was narrower than normal. But it was a Chassis cab, so that is probably why.

How wide is the dana 60? I was hoping the duallie axle was wider then that. Anyone know the ball park number on how much it would cost to have an axle widened?

When you have a dually, the front hubs have something like spacers that let you run bud wheels on all four corners.

A set of spacers would be a lot cheaper than custom axle shafts.

Here is a place that came up from a search, not bad price at 115.00 a pair, but that is only 1.5" thick, add 25 dollars makes them 2.5" thick.

Cheaper than a dually axle or custom axles.

I was thinking that, and they would work perfectly if they can clear the rear hub. The fords run them as part of the rotor in front. do the chevys or dodges off the top of your head?

Dodge and chevy front DRW hubs look like fords but wont bolt up. The rotor on all three bolts the the back of the hub. Then on the outside of the hub is where the wheel studs are. Anyone know about van Sterlings? I hear they are wider. I have 3 but never bothered to look and id have to dig them out to see now.

I will admit I'm a little worried about running spacers and 44s

If you really need some width in the rearend you could always hang a fat chick from the bumper.

I think fat chicks will be avoiding my pickup since I refuse to carry a ladder for it

I guess if u need me to I could go measure my dually sterling. Its a cab and chassis axle.

It would be easy to just put some bolt on wheel spacers on it though. I have some 3 inch thick ones on my van so I can run dually wheels and have never had any problems with them. Just make sure the lug nuts for them are tight from time to time.
