Under the table exhaust shop?

Any of ya'll know an exhaust shop around the KCMO area that'll do work on trucks w/o cats? I got a true dual setup and most shops won't touch w/o cats. Thanks...

I got a wire feed welder/shop saw and have done all the exhaust setups on my trucks. The offer is out there, if nothing works out up north, I'm located right outside of Bolivar Mo.

what do you do when it is time to re reg your truck???? id just get a pair of junk cats, hollow em out, then weld flanges on both sides, that way you can remove them after inspecton, save em for next year lol im sure theyll not say anythign about the flanges...

whats the law in missouri on cats for older vehicles???

MrRoger's did you get you cat/exhaust problem worked out? The offer is still out there, I will be back in Mo around the end of the month.

Offering to help, no charge, anything to help out a fellow FTE. Great chance for you to learn to weld, if you do not know how, its easy with a wire feed welder.

As far as I know, if the vehicle came from the factory with them, then they have to be there at inspection time.
The shop that put the muffler on my 93,
gutted out my Cat and welded a tube inside it, so it is basically a straight shot through to the muffler. I doubt they would do that for just anyone, but I'm a long time customer so they know me. And they do all my inspections.

I have never ever had a vehicle inspector look under any of my trucks, let alone ask about cats.

Yea Terry anything for our Chapter Leader, I got a 110 wire feed and a 220 stick welder. Not that I am any good at it, but can make metal atleast stick together, lol.

Any time you can make it down, not a problem to weld up what ever, or give it a try.

i could probably cut out he center of a cat and weld a pipe through, but its illegal as all get out if a shop is doing it, gotta be careful of undercover officials in them cases.... someone told me once that you could punch through the cat core with a pipe and hammer.... and ive also heard that you can heat it up with a torch then pour ice cold water in the cat and itll shatter the core.... either way be careful.

Yes you can punch out the core and leave it at that. the shop welded the tube in, to stop any turbulance in the hollowed cat.
