What is the price difference of GAS and DEISEL in your area? The price has changed back to that diesel is less than gas. In zip 98188, Seattle, it is 0.02 less. In 85374, Surprise AZ, it is 0.32 less at Safeway. It is even a few cents lass at Sams Club 4 blocks away. I felt that the offset from gas to diesel may not have been good deal in costs, forget the power difference. It's the cost per mile that counts.

 

By me in the bay area I can get diesel for 2.79(the cheapest place) up to 3.29 about 1 mile apart from each other, and gas is about 3.49 to 3.99

 

On one side of town its $2.55 for gas vs 2.59 for diesel, on the other side of town its $2.45 for gas and $2.32 for diesel. I don't know why the difference!

 

I forgot to say that the price for diesel in Seattle is 2.63 and at the Surprise Safeway is1.99. I haven't seen diesel below 2 bucks for a long time.

 

Here is Waco, TX Diesel is running about 2.55 to 2.61 and 87 oct gas is running 2.29 to 2.43. Depends on if you are looking along I-35 or you get off the beaten path.

 

Here 87 octane gas is running $2.559 and diesel is $2.319.

 

southern WI gas is about 10 cents cheaper for 87 octane.

 

In northern New Mexico, I am paying 2.19 for Diesel, and 2.55 for Gas. Yay for a diesel truck and a motorcycle that gets 55 mpg.

 

Filled up yesterday here in central Wyoming - 87 octane runs about 2.39, diesel is running 2.49.

 

Filled up today, diesel is $2.53, gas is $2.49. A mile down the road though diesel was $2.56 and gas was $2.59. I'm so glad I got a diesel, 14mpg is the worst I've gotten where as 10mpg was the best I could ever get with my 460.
