thanx all. maybe i should just write a list of the mod's on my van so you will know how out there i am...
but i'll do this instead... my cars in no particular order (oh, and understand i grew up in encino in the SF valley and started driving Mulholland when i was 13 by stealing pop's TR4 when he wasn't home):
1995 Ford E350 (paid $18K and it was 1 yr old) this one is my baby
1995 Toyota pickup ($500 beater - 22RE motor)
1989 Toyota FourRunner (removable roof version)
1979 BMW 630 CS grey market car, now w/ M5 motor/5spd tranny and late model climate control
1969 MGB-GT
1962 MGA MkII deluxe
1979 Volvo DL (like a 240, it also has a 1000watt+ stereo - this one is for the kids to learn to drive in. hehe)
1974 Harley 1000 XLCH sportster - old ironhead, former OC Hell's Angel ride
1999 Honda XR600R - 5mm overbore, cam, ported head, exhaust
my boat:
1974 SeaCamper - w/ a Yamaha V6 225HP motor instead of the inboard. it rides on a custom 3 axle trailer w/ disc brakes. they made 543, it is estimated there are maybe a hundred left. check'em out here: http://www.borumboats.com/SeaCamper.html mine does not have the flying bridge. does close to 40mph as well so i have to be careful when hauling the wife behind on a floaty. last time i thought she was saying "go faster" but she was really saying "you b*st*rd" - pretty much had the throttle WFO anyway...
cars sold or destroyed:
1964 Triumph TR4 - hit 3 summers in a row. the last time it took 300+ stitches to my face to get me home from the hospital. mom said "no more TR4". the first car i modified. it would romp on the Turbo 911's until about 110 mph. then i got spanked. hard.
1963 Mini 1071S sold it to get married. big mistake. but still married to the same woman...
1964 Pontiac Tempest - 1/2 of a V8 - very interesting car. came from my gramma
1978 kawasaki Z1R - bent it, stuffed the motor in a Moriwaki aluminum frame and stuck twin turbo's on it, as well as nitrous. ate gearboxes for breakfast till i dropped $1200 at San Jose Gear
1975 Honda 550 four. punched out to 600+, jerry branch ported head, cecil at Kenny Harmon Cams ground up a bumpstick, Dymag wheels, full RoadRace fairing. powerband was 6k to 15k. it would absolutely DESTROY RD400's using only first gear
1960 VW transporter CrewCab - 10" slicks, tube subframe, 2200cc alcohol burning motor w/ Crower injection hooked up to a Hewland tranny so the engine was just behind the cab. 64# nitrous tank in the bed. raced it in san fernando one nite and made $10K. never raced for $$ again. nothing like a block long wheelie when you can't see!

thanx for your tolerance. hope i can be useful to the group.
