Mercury Hubcaps Questions

I saw the other questions about hubcaps so thought I'd ask about hubcaps for Mercury trucks. I've managed to find a few hubcaps over the years for the M-47 Mercury. Some that I've kept and others that I traded for stuff I needed. I would like to hear from anyone with Mercury hubcaps.
I've found three different paint colour on the Mercury name. Red, blue and black. As near as I can figure the red are '48-'50. Blue for '51-'52 and black for later. Anyone with some insite to this please check in with you observations/information. Thanks

Can you post a picture? I'm still toying with the idea of scrounging up some of the missing stuff for my '49 and I'm not even sure what they look like.

Wish I could post a picture but my computer skills are pretty low. The hubcap shape is the same as the one for the 1/2 ton Ford. The only difference is the " Mercury " on them instead of the " Ford ". The hubcaps are getting very hard to find. One guy at the big Barrie Ontario swap meet had one that was rotten all around the mounting ring and a few holes too. He wanted $ 150 for it. " All you have to do is cut out the Mercury lettering. Get a Ford hubcap and weld the Mercury in. Chrome it and you'll have a great hubcap ! " Yeah, right. needless to say I didn't by it.
I did see a guy at the Arthur Ford/Mercury truck show that had a great idea. He bought some of the no name hubcaps and stenciled the Mercury name on. You had to get up close to tell that the name wasn't indented in the hubcap.
The Arthur show is coming up ( Aug. 15-16 ) so if you need something let me know and I'll try to find it for you if you'd like.

Michigan Rick- thanks for the gallery reference. These look a little different from the Ford...kind of a "two stage" design. Am I looking at this right?

Greg- Yes...I'll PM you a list of stuff to look for. Thanks!

Stenciling sounds like a great alternative if I can't find any. Why didn't I think of that?

Michigan Rick has a nice picture of the half ton Mercury hubcaps. The M-68 is different. More like a babymoon type with Mercury in block letters. I read your pm Ryan and wrote your needs list down. You never know what will show up but it will be pricey.
I've got some spare lenses for the front fender and a radio delete plate that is broken in half and missing a piece that you can have if you can perform magic with plastic. For some reason they seem to warp and break/crack in the middle ??! You'd have a idea of what the silver/grey plastic looks like at least. Traded some spare fender lights a couple years ago. Took $ 190 off the item I wanted and they were good lights.
Last real good delete plate I saw was $ 200 CDN. Hope I'm not scaring you with these prices but thought you should have an idea of cost.
Most of the caps I have seen are stainless but there are some steel ones out there. My personal thought is that stainless are early and steel are later but could be way off. ( Wish I knew )

Greg- Check your PM...yes, I'll take the broken bits. I might be able to mold up something with the delete plate and at least get the Mercury "font". I've already been warned about the prices on this stuff...amazing!

Kusto-Thanks and ditto on the PM...

We're building a driver so it doesn't have to be 100% concourse stuff--not averse at all to the stenciling suggestion and I welcome any other "workarounds" anyone can think of. Thx.

Here's the M-68/M-3 hubcaps. I got I think 7 of them. Most people want the M-47/ M-1 hubcaps.
