Changing differential oil, what synthetic gear oil has friction modifier in it?
Hello,
I'm changing oils in my differentials (both ends) and am wondering about the friction modifier...
First of all, where can I find out whether I have a limited-slip or not? I assume there is a code somewhere?
Second, are there any synthetic gear oil that has the modifier already in it or what's the consensus nowadays regarding those.
My truck is 2003 F-350 4X4 7.3L Diesel.
Thank you in advance.

Look at the sticker on your door for the axle code and then go here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/4...lder_____.html to find out if you have LS. My understanding is that most of the synthetics out there have modifiers. Just make sure you read the labels. If the back end starts to make noise, throw some modifier in it.
EDIT: I must type too slow since you found your answer in the meantime.
