I am using Amsoil 15w-40 and in the winter it is 5w 40.

Ive been trying to use synthetic in the summer, and ive tried 0-40 and so far havent noticed anything bad. I think Im gonna switch to rotella 5-40 syn for summer and winter, I found a place that supposedly has the best deals around on it, if that holds true though!

I wanted to go shaffers, but its a pain in the *** to get it here. ("local" dealer for it is like 3 hours away in my hometown)

I thought I replied to this yesterday, strange. Anyways, I searched around before I settled on Amsoil. It works out great, it is cheaper than most and it is shipped right to my door. I did use Shell syn 5w-40 and it worked just fine by me but I had to order it and it was way out of the way to get and shaffers was even worse.

How much do ya pay for amsoil if you dont mind me asking...

Ive heard it was good oil, but whenever I see it anywhere its almost double the price of a regular synthetic.
