For a little while now the speedometer in my truck, when going over some larger bumps in the road has been occasionally freaking out and going down to zero then back up to whatever speed I am going. Today though while driving about 15-20mph through the neighborhood the speedometer just went down to zero and stayed there, then the transmission started slipping badly and the ABS light came on. I stopped the truck, shut it off and sat there for a second- then started it up and it seemed normal- but then it did it again on the way home. When the speedo goes down to zero the transmission just starts slipping badly- then it will bounce back up and the truck will shift great and run fine- its really strange. The ABS light seems to be staying on- im not sure if this is related or not. The tranny fluid is relatively clean and at the right point on the dipstick....HELP GUYS! I'm new to these trucks.
UPDATE: I took the truck for a long trip today and at around the halfway point it started having the same symptoms- I already replaced the VSS- it only does it when going over a large bump in the road...
