I thought the OP just wanted some idea on regional price differences everyone sees. If we don't say on topic how will he get his question answered?

It would nice if a Rhino (or other brand) installer would chime in. Then we can have both of them give us the good and bad points of their products. I only started with Rhino years ago because it was close and convenient not really thinking there was any real difference in spray-ons. Now with many brands out there they are all fighting for business and are touting their features. Chris

No, I argue with him because he tries to talk about something he knows absolutely nothing about; the military. Then the mods either held my posts, or took hours to finally post them, but only on this thread. It's the only moderated thread that I've seen on here. I'd delete 2 of the last 3 of mine if I had their magical powers.

I'm not a dealer, but out here I am lucky enough to have 2 Line-X and 2 Rhino dealers within 50 miles. That makes them compete with each other. In the end, I went with Rhino as Line-X was hundreds more for basically the same product.

I'll let this one go...Best of luck to to OP and his choice. they're essentially the same product. Listening to a dealer, you'd think you were getting your truck bed dipped in gold. BTW, I've yet to see one of the tinted liners in a rock yard or actually hauling anything. That said, I'd stick with black. You know how that one looks when it gets scratched. I paid 325.00 for the normal Rhino, 6.5' bed, under rail. All screws were removed in the bed and tailgate and reinstalled by the sprayer.

Another forum member started this thread entitled "LINE-X". If that bothers you, there are plenty of other threads to go read. Several bedliner brands are involved in the military. If you want to read about LINE-X's involvement, go to Paxcon.com

I'm familiar with most of the major bedliner brands on the market. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to try to help anyone.

Wow TruckDaddy, that looks cool. I have opted to not get the xtra color match since 95% of the time my bed cover will be closed. No need for 'matching' bedliner that no one ever sees. It is cool how with xtra it is possible to have some embossed logo in the bed.

Tough. Others were talking about Rhino also. I'm trying to save the guy some $$, and you're all about taking them. I wore the badge (I'm retired now) you show in that truck bed for 20 years, by the way. Do you even know what it is?

There's quit a few comparisons on line of Line-x vs Rhino and every test and review always puts the line-x ahead of the others. I remember back when they used to have the high pressure nd low pressure debate but i think rhino are now using a system like line x are using. They do the same thing in the end but if cost is a factor then the rhino may be a good option. I had the same problems when i was trying to decide between the 2 but the line x just looked like it was a cleaner looking finish.

No way!

I use the BEDRUG! Much easier on the knees or any other body part. Once you use it you'll never use anything else.

Army Parachutist - Basic

Bedrug is a good product. It's good for light to moderate duty. Most liquids will wash out, but the fibers can stain. Grass and twigs are more difficult to get out of the pile. It's best to use a tonneau cover in conjunction with a Bedrug. If you don't it tends to sag after a while. Good bang for your buck.

Yep, I love my Bedrug... but, the whole bed is covered with a commercial ARE DCU topper which has been made water-tight. The bedrug is much more pleasant to crawl around on, though slick things (like Pelican cases) love to slide on it.

Yes a tonneau cover of some sort is a must imo. I have a backflip.

OK boys back on topic. I paid $400 for my 5.5' bed. I would love to see my old truck though since last time I thought not only did they spray the top of the rail at the front of the bed but also went around the edge and did the part of the rail between the cab and the bed as well. This time they stopped just at the edge. I also noticed it's a little light on the left since I can see some silver paint still. Not that big of a deal since it's on top of that rail.

Also at the rear of the bed they barely went down the back edge. The one on the showroom floor had it going down further and I don't recall how far my last one went down.

The amazing part is I wait for this and last time it took 4 hrs to do and this time they had it done in under 2. I was told that they had 2 people working on it since they were slow. I keep looking for the cut corners!

TruckDaddy, Thanks for the inputs. I'm going with Line-X on my new '09. I have the Metallic Gray and am undecided on either the X-tra or the color match. I like the idea of the Xtra with the UV protection since I don't plan on using a cover.

If the warranty is the same I don't see why to go with it.
Agreed. I went with regular black line-X over the rails and on tailgate on my steel gray truck with 6'7" bed. $534 after tax

Bigfoot- these never stay on topic! Intersting observations. I have some between cab and bed but it's thin. The rest is thick and uniform including at the rear end of the bed and the top sides. Love it.
