I'm looking into taking the plunge, and installing DPF @ Cat Delete with Spartan tunes. I am just wondering if the stock exhaust flows enough, with the delete's? My other trucks have had exhaust from the turbo back, is this necessary on the 6.4? Thanks in advance!
The stock exhaust is close to 4" on these trucks so you will have more than enough flow. I removed the DPF and Cat and put a new exhaust from the down pipe back but only because the price was right. I would have been fine just replacing the cat and DPF with delete pipes and going with that.
I have dual exhaust on mine, only because I put it on after I first bought the truck, not knowing about the dpf. Brandon's right, stock exhaust is almost 4 so you should be fine. The nice thing about spartan is you can moniter your egt's, so if they are running higher than they should you can always do the exhaust later if necessary. Good luck, and you'll love the spartan.
