Yeah, Pops truck is,,,,,,,,,,,,well,,,,,,a couple of years in the works, Actually the truck has been a member of the family since 1978.

Tire and wheel combo is a 42" IROK with a 12" beadlock wheel, and some dumb hope.

I took this advice from my pops and he taught us (brother and I) how to weld, and work on cars as well as working with out hands. We can drywall hang doors, heak we can build a house. Welding provided us with the ability to earn money, and this developed into decent fabrication skills. My point is that we can weld or build some simple things and make a reasonable living, or further develop the skills and build some one off stuff that pays big bucks.
I have a couple of degrees and use them in a field where they provide me a decent income. Im happy and content with two homes and several toys. This means that the "gas money" is only a small part of having fun.
Minimum wage job means that you have to work longer and harder to accomodate some expensive habits.
Learn a trade and stay in school so you have a degree that proves and documents that you are good at, and the money will roll in.
Definitely advice to live by. Took me long enough, and I'm going back to school this Fall for welding and 'Solar Photovoltaic Design and Installation' Only took me 10 years out of high school to realize I don't feel like messing my back up anymore than I have to at this point. And as much fun as it was hauling scrap metal with you and your pops, Ed, I'm looking forward to being able to put the money into my rigs without worrying about rent every month. Good times though, and I do have to visit one of these days.

Not the biggest (and far from the best) but here's what I have in front of the house at the moment

I am sorry to quote such a large post, but does anybody know where to get the stainless steel vent window frames like this thing has on it? I have seen those a time or two before in other pictures, but never seen any in real life.

Ed, your dads truck is gorgeous ! Thats exactly the look I want for my truck. Id love to know more about that truck. What year is it? ( I think its older than 78 cause of the windshield trim) What motor, rear axle, lift and gears? I was going to stick with 40 inch tires but I just stumbled on an awesome deal on some 44's but I will have to find some 15 inch wheels for them that are 8 lug and fit.

Pretty sure LMC has them. Check with NPD and Macs as well.
