Power Steering Fluid Leak Stopper

Power Steering Fluid Leak Stopper
Hi everyone, I have a 1994 F-150 XL with a power steering leak that seems to be coming mostly from where the pressure hose mates with the reservoir...Only drips maybe 10 drops overnight, enough to drive me crazy...
I was wondering if anyone has had any luck using a "stop leak" product like Lucas or the PS fluid with stop leak? And would that stuff work on a teflon seal anyway? Any advice to fix the issue is appreciated. Thanks!

I used Lucas to stop the leak on a PS pump shaft seal once.
It did a marvelous job magically sealing it up. I think it has an additive in it that swells up the rubber (like brake fluid???).
About a year later, my steering gear quit turning to the right and I had to replace it. I am 75% certain it was the Lucas that softened up and allowed a piece of rubber to pollute the steering box.
No, I wasn't running a filter either.

Stop! Halt!
Fix it right! Don't put that crap in ANYTHING that you care about! It may or may not magically stop the leak but it WILL wreck your seals eventually and cause further problems down the line. Leak Stopper has ONE purpose in life, and that's plugging up the leak long enough to go trade your vehicle in at Dirty Sam's Used Car Lot, Bar & Grill.
Stopping that leak is easy, there's only a few things that can leak there. First of all, that hydraulic line between the pump and steering gear has an INTERNAL o-ring on the swivel fitting that connects to the pump. It cannot be replaced, so if it's leaking you'll need to replace the entire line. You can see in this picture I took that I've split the fitting in half to show the seal, which is the black rubber gidget towards the top of each section. This line is the factory original one so the rubber o-ring was dried, brittle and leaking badly.
If that's not what's leaking then it's either the teflon seal that goes on the outside diameter of the fitting pictured above, or it's the pressure valve where it screws into the body of the pump.
It could also be that the reservoir is leaking where it seats onto the pump body. That's just one big o-ring there to replace. If that's the case just go to the parts store and get a seal kit for the pump. It's like $12 and has all the seals included. You'll need to rent or buy the power steering pump pulley remover tool kit if you're taking the pump out.
