Vintage Ford truck hood scoop

Good luck finding those side hood scoops, I looked around, no one has any.

Looking up obsolete parts in the car/truck catalogs for members, then searching for them, and posting what I find, is one a the things I do here on FTE.
I've been grabbing parts from some of the old trucks in a local junkyard here lately, especially since they have scrapped the majority of them this year.
Last week I was looking at a 58-9 Ford wrecker in the yard. Pretty rough. Regular type truck cab, but had the big truck style wheels and air brakes. It had the hood scoop on it, which I brought home. I also brought the big ram horn style exhaust manifolds home too, even though they are off the Lincoln y-block and not the Ford y-block. Had to bring one home with the head still attached. Probably bring the intake home next time I'm up there, and maybe pull the other head just to have a pair. Not sure how good they are, the cylinders in the block were full of rust and crud. The truck also had a big water pump mounted up on the motor that had a pipe coiled around the pwr strg resevoir to cool it. I didn't notice if the air cleaner was laying in the truck or somewhere close by. It just a shame that all the trucks in this yard are getting scrapped!

Good score on the air intake set-up.
I'm guessing the truck you pulled the parts from, if it still had the original engine, had a 302 or 332 (Lincoln based Y-block) in it. Maybe you know this, figured I'd pass the info on just the same. The heads, exh. man and intakes will only work on the Lincoln based Y-blocks, and not the smaller Ford Merc version (239 - 312). (Actually not much can be swapped between the two versions.) A quick way to tell is looking at the exhaust man bolt pattern. The exhaust man bolt pattern on the 272-312 is in a single plane, on the Lincoln /Hvy Truck the outside bolts are up just a bit. Again maybe you knew this, at a minimum it might be info for someone that didn't.
There are a couple of pics posted in this thread:

Yes I knew they are different, thanks for posting anyway! I could tell the Lincoln motor was in it just by the valve covers, but I refused to let these parts go to the crusher, and they are going quick around here! Especially in that yard. I just missed getting what was left of a 64 Galaxie by a couple days. I will be back out there as soon as we get another dry day and its at least 40+.
