Next time, don't try to do a burnout to show off. Just smile at the girls and offer them a ride in your cool Ef Won Fiddy.
By the way, you were giving it too much brake. Next time, give it just enough brake to hold the truck and gently but firmly give it gas until the tires break loose. Then adjust accordingly. You were just doing it wrong.
My 300 powered truck can do it. Your truck can do it a lot easier. If you insist on showing off (we all do it) then practice at home a few times. If you're going to show off your Ford, do it right! Please!

Ya the weird thing is though I have done it many of times and it seems like the times I do it to show off its when I cant do it. Maybe I was giving it to much brake. I guess I never really paid attention to how much brake I gave it last time. I know for a fact tonight the I had to much but I guess I wasnt thinking about that. I did was trying to do it cause there was a bunch of hot girls there starring at this dodge ram doing it and figures it wouldnt do it so I was like ya Im leaving now. We were hoping to get them to go for a ride after the burn out but when that failed we just left.

yalls trucks must be broken. LOL Before I put my 305's on i could just smack it and spin the tires. With the 305's I can power brake it and turn them over. Must be the 5.4 with the 4.11 gears. Now when I hit it and turn at the same time the limited slip kicks in and with only bark. I try not to do this to often nitto's are expensive.

My '05 does mean burnouts. Wish it didn't. It used to do one tire burnouts, so I just put in an Auburn Gear limited slip. Now it does two tire burnouts. An that's with 500 pounds of tractor weights in a rack just behind the wheelwells. The 4.10:1 gears multiply the torque more, so that's part of the problem. When I put on another set of tires, we'll see how that goes.

I have an 04 f150 fx4 5.4 with 3.73 posi gears and an edge evo on lvl2 weapon x cop's and true dual straight pipe cat back exhaust. I used to have 13" wide 305/50R20 tires on after market rims (they came with the truck) which are just roughly 32" tall and they would barely go through first gear before programmer but after I could burn them through second and make crazy smoke but from a stand still I barely got a foot of burnout, so I could gas it and launch like crazy I've beat a v6 eclipse v6 camaro and a newer 4 cyl eclipse with a 5speed and a good driver.
Now that I have changed my tires to 275/70R20 they're now an inch taller but they're skinnier so I can actually go through some snow and mud, I actually tore some drifts up a month ago in south dakota only got stuck when I found a drift that got to the hood of my truck and I got mad after driving into it a few times and hit it at about 40 and got high centered haha, 2inch leveling kit n some 35" mudders and I think I'll be in bussiness (needless to say my stupidity and cockiness caused me to burn up my reverse clutch which is also my 3rd gear clutch... now I use 4wheel low if I need to back out and go alot easier on the gas ).
Back to the subject now, with these tires I haven't seen what I can do from a stop but I know I get a second gear scratch out of em (learned that in rush hour traffic on the interstate the other day).. well I also had a tranny rebuild with heavy duty kolene clutches and had the valve body updated to handle more power, so rebuilt tranny and programmer = crazy fast shifts. Instead of rev up delay then go it's just rev n go! ( I would keep the $2300 and go easy on my tranny if I could go back in time! But lesson learned)
In the rain the wide tires were like slicks I could spin out with 10% throttle I'd say but either way I can light em up through the gears when it's damp without power braking I haven't tried it since I had the fat tires but that's only cause I can't afford anymore problems lol.
