I just flushed the fluid in my 78 F100 and now it runs like crap. I think it has too much fluid but I'm afraid to drive it too much to get the trans warm. Would too much fluid make it run like the engine is skipping? When I put it in Neutral the engine revs and idles just fine. What do you think?

Blue and White is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Too much fluid mostly causes "burping". For the OP and followup question suggest you run it around the block and check it. If it looks reasonably OK warm it all the way up and check again. Don't sweat it!
