A New Wax (At Least To ME)
#16
I just got the NXT 2.0 last week and couldn't wait to apply it. Now that it's been a week, I've got dust setting on the truck and was thinking about just taking the hose and rinsing it off. Will the wax still keep the nice smooth feel or will I need to wash and wax again to get that baby butt smooth feel again?

I use a California Duster every day on all 3 of our vehicles. I only have to wash them every couple of weeks. We just got a heavy rainstorm earlier, and when I walked out, my car (I have a truck also) had beads the size of quarters on it. It looked cool. Once I started driving, it all ran off. COMPLETELY! The NXT 2.0 stuff is amazing (to me) to say the least.

If you want to see the true condition of your paint, take a look at it in direct sunlight, not the shade.

Clay is clay. It can be had in different levels of aggressiveness, but in the end, clay is clay. Drop by your local Walmart or parts store and pick up a Meguiars clay kit. It'll come with a clay bar and a bottle of quick detailer to be used as lube.
My advice is to split the bar into 2 pieces, this way if you accidently drop one of the pieces you can just grab the other and keep going. Clay that has been dropped should go directly in the trash.

Fly on out here and I'll show you my vehicles. We get more sun (due to less atmosphere up here) than most places in the country.

See my above post. They might scratch the wax, but I've never scratched the paint. Don't know about the blade though. I only use the duster.

IMO
The duster is good if you wash the filament regularly...remember it picks up all the dust, only a few particles get actually dusted off. As for the blade, that blade surface is constantly wearing down, who knows if its wearing completely evenly? What happened to the old fashion Absorber?
