Man it was hot here this week end, or it could of been that I was up on the roof of the house putting on a metal roof.

 

Nice and cool here at 1118, 77.4 deg.................Never got over 90 this weekend. 27 miles north of me my buddy said it was 102 on Sat, and 104 yesterday!

Of course I'm at 2280' of elevation

 

it was hot at PIR sat. and sunday but the races were awesome.

 

Glad ya had a good time Jack. I took my son and grandson to the Craftsman Truck series a couple of years ago there, and they couldn't believe how LOUD the trucks were, and they were using mufflers!

 

it was louder. these cars had no mufflers. it was the camping world series cars, the GASS
cars, historic nascar cars. that was my first time going to PIR the place is big. greg biffle was there sunday morning but the line was a 1/4 mile long. for autographs. they even had a parnelli jones mercury there. nice car.
nascar hasn't been in portland since 1986. but there coming back.... it was a pretty big todo.

 

I also seen where Gregg Biffle was racing at Banks this last week end.

 

Sure is hot even over here!..........Lots of bikini's down by the river!

it was 89 yesterday, today 85* here.

 

80 at noon, headed for 96+ this afternoon. Hot enough to bag the bike today and drive the Mustang with A/C. I don't do well with 96+ and all the black leather on the bike, old age you know.

 

PIR was hot last weekend, i got alittle dizzy saturday. high blood pressure pills...
the track surface was 135* out there. sunday wasn't too bad. it was hot.

 

What's everyone up to in the great state or Oregon? It's hot here, thinking about having the wife flip me over cause I'm done on one side already. Worked on another 62 Ford pickup today. Guy said it wasn't running, went over with my multimeter and she had 12V. Tried to turn her over click click goes the solenoid. The battery connections were dirty at the terminals and the hot wire was using a cheap clamp that was corroded so bad wasn't making good contact. I cut off the corroded part of the wire and cleanup everything and she kicked right over. Took my meter to it again and she was putting out 14V, he thought the alternator was fried. The truck has a 223 6cyl in it. son got a good lesson in the the KISS law.

Anyone ever adjusted a Ford/Autolite/Motorcraft 1100 my 62 shop shop manual only covers the holley 1 barrel, need some adjustment tricks if you have them.
