ok here goes headed out to myrtle beach towing my 27 ft travel trailer
it is 400 miles from my house to the beach had to cross two mountains did so with no problems but i go within 11 miles of the campground started seeing smoke and smelling oil stopped and got out transmission fluid pouring out of the tc area let it cool off and added more fluid transmission canged gears ok but i believe the tc is slipping
had a buddy come down and pull my camper home tried to limp the truck home made it across the first mountain and started leaking again this time every time you crank it it leaks some one guide me in the right direction to make the repairs needed the tc has always been noisy

 

I wish I had a good answer for you but transmissions are a mystery to me so here is a bump.
